With 3230 square Kilometres, Mikumi is decorated by super scenic plains with Baobabs trees and various mammals. The park is a hidden gem in Southern Tanzania with lions, elephants and an array of various bird species. Mikumi is endowed with spectacular wildlife which are rarely seen in other parks. The magnificent Sable antelope, African hunting dogs, blue wildebeest, and Lichtenstein's hartebeest among others can be seen on a safari. The best time to visit Mikumi National Park is from June to October. Wildlife found in Mikumi National Park includes elephants, giraffes, buffalos, Burchell's zebras, sable, elands, Liechtenstein's hartebeests, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and jackals.
